I love working with other professionals. My friend and highly skilled Yoga teacher Sayon has given me a gold nugget of practical help to share with you. Try this it really works.
Many people have discovered that yoga health benefits can be explored at any age, anytime and requires no special equipment. Yes, yoga too can provide relief for menopause symptoms, with the most common complaint ” hot flushes”, the instant rise of the body temperature, that happens very quickly and can spread from the face to neck, along the arms can happen any time of day and night. Instantly you would like the body to cool down.
I suggest a regular practice of yoga along with a technique known as the cooling breath called the Sitali. This breath will cool the body, it will improve the throat muscles, stimulate the thyroid and other glands will benefit too.
Putting Sitali Pranayama into Practice
To start, relax the face, inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose. Now work on the lengthening the tongue, this involves curling of the tongue to form a tube-like shape, inhale through the rolled tongue and exhale through the nose. If you have difficulty curling the tongue, try a more relax version. To start, clench the top and bottom teeth together, imagine you’re lips over a straw. Inhale through the lips, exhale through the nose. Repeat 5 to 20 times and you will notice the body cooling.
Thanks Sayon.
